Cheryl Lindus has been named vice president of the Gannett Co.’s Indiana Media Group.
Lindus most recently was director of sales for the group, which includes The Star Press (Muncie), The Journal & Courier (Lafayette) and The Palladium-Item (Richmond).
Lindus began her newspaper career in Muncie in 1983. When she left in 2001, she was advertising director.
She continued her career at other Gannett newspapers in West Virginia, Missouri and Alabama, where she was publisher of the paper in Montgomery.
She returned to Muncie in 2010 as general manager and ad director at The Star Press.
Her new role will see her based in Muncie but dividing her time among the media operations in Muncie, Lafayette and Richmond.
