Registration for the Newsroom Seminar and Better Newspaper Contest Awards Luncheon ends in less than a week.
The annual training event returns to the Indianapolis Marriott North on Saturday, Dec. 7.

The HSPA Foundation’s Newsroom Seminar Committee has developed a training lineup to meet the needs of today’s newspapers, with morning sessions on writing, photography, social media, and access to public records before the awards luncheon.
“We hope editors will send their reporters and photographers for the training sessions and stay for the awards luncheon,” said Jo Ann Spieth-Saylor, editor of The Corydon Democrat and chairwoman of the Newsroom Seminar Committee. “It’s a great day of celebrating journalism.”
