Schurz Communications announced that J.B. Ozuna has been promoted to vice president of digital media.
The appointment took effect Sept. 1.
Ozuna has succeeded as the director of sales and revenue development for the past seven years.
He and his team have helped Schurz Communications launch a variety of digital revenue initiatives across all companies and have recently branched out into direct digital sales in two markets.
Schurz’ Indiana newspapers include The Times-Mail (Bedford), The Herald-Times (Bloomington), The Reporter Times (Martinsville) and the South Bend Tribune.
Prior to joining Schurz in 2007, Ozuna was the digital sales manager for KMGH-TV in Denver. He moved to Denver in 2003 after previous sales positions with KENS-TV and WOAI-TV in San Antonio. Before working on the station side, Ozuna was a talent recruitment manager for The Broadcast Image Group.
“I am proud of what we have achieved on the digital revenue side at (Schurz Communications) these past few years,” Ozuna said.
