Edmund Hubbard joined the Herald-Press (Huntington) staff as sports editor.
He will also be the sports editor for the Wabash Plain Dealer.
Hubbard graduated in 2014 from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and mass communication at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
After graduation, he was a sports intern for the San Antonio News Express, where he covered the high school golf beat.
Hubbard was drawn to the Huntington position because he enjoys working with high school athletes, he said.
He said he is embracing the small-town atmosphere of Huntington after growing up in Phoenix and working in San Antonio.
