The Elkhart Truth has a new advertising director.

Craig Rogers most recently served as business develop­ment director at The Indiana­polis Star, driving digital sales and growth there. He brings 17 years of experience in advertising and mar­ket­ing in the news media to the table.

He’ll lead efforts to promote ad sales for the print and online versions of The Truth.

Advertisers need to have a presence across multimedia platforms – print, digital, direct marketing – to get effective reach, Rogers said.

Rogers said The Truth is uniquely positioned to serve the community’s advertising needs, even as the market evolves. He noted that social media like Twitter and Facebook are the new word of mouth. Accordingly, he’ll collaborate with Straw­berry Fields Marketing Agency, pointing clients to The Truth’s sister company when they seek online marketing assistance.
