CNHI’s McCloskey promoted

Community Newspaper Holdings Inc. announced the ap­­pointment of Robyn McClos­key as head of the company’s newly created Midwest Division.

Mc­Clos­key is re­­gional publisher of the Kokomo Tribune and Pharos-Tribune (Logansport).

Her Midwest Division includes the Times Sentinel (Zions­ville), the Lebanon Repor­ter, The Commercial News in Dan­ville, Ill., as well as the Kokomo and Logans­port newspapers, where she will continue as publisher.

McCloskey’s newspaper career began at the Pharos-Tribune in 1990, when she took a job as an advertising telemarketer. She held several advertising positions at the paper under the former Howard Publishing, and in 1995 she became a regional advertising director under Thompson News­papers.

In 2001 CNHI named her publisher of the Pharos-Tribune and in 2008 expanded her role to regional publisher.

She is vice president of the board of directors of the Hoosier State Press Association.
