Community Newspaper Holdings Inc. announced the appointment of Robyn McCloskey as head of the company’s newly created Midwest Division.
McCloskey is regional publisher of the Kokomo Tribune and Pharos-Tribune (Logansport).
Her Midwest Division includes the Times Sentinel (Zionsville), the Lebanon Reporter, The Commercial News in Danville, Ill., as well as the Kokomo and Logansport newspapers, where she will continue as publisher.
McCloskey’s newspaper career began at the Pharos-Tribune in 1990, when she took a job as an advertising telemarketer. She held several advertising positions at the paper under the former Howard Publishing, and in 1995 she became a regional advertising director under Thompson Newspapers.
In 2001 CNHI named her publisher of the Pharos-Tribune and in 2008 expanded her role to regional publisher.
She is vice president of the board of directors of the Hoosier State Press Association.
