Sally Brown has been named general manager of the South Bend Tribune, the flagship media enterprise of Schurz Communications.
Brown is a well-established veteran in Michiana media, marketing and advertising.
She served the local community as vice president and general manager of WSBT Radio Group from 1999-2010, then as president and general manager of both WSBT Radio and Television from late 2010 through mid-February 2016.
She’s been employed by Schurz Communications since 1989, when she began as account executive for WSBT 960 AM/Sunny 101.5 FM before being promoted to WSBT Radio Group sales manager in 1992.
Brown will report to the company’s vice president for publishing, Cory Bollinger, who will make a summer move to Bloomington, Indiana, to take on statewide publisher duties.
In late 2015, Brown was nominated for and then received the prestigious Indiana Broadcasters Association’s Tom Severino Leadership Award.
Brown is a current member and past-president of the Rotary Club of South Bend.
