For the second consecutive summer, The Shelbyville News is proud to host an Eugene S. Pulliam intern.

Haley Pritchett, who just finished her freshman year at Franklin College, will spend 10 weeks working in the editorial newsroom at TSN, fulfilling the terms of her paid internship.

She is already an accomplished journalist, joining her college newspaper, “The Franklin,” upon her arrival. She also spent the month of January covering the Indiana Statehouse for Statehousefile.com.

“I am excited to have Haley join our newsroom when there are so many stories to tell of how the novel coronavirus has affected Shelby County,” said The Shelbyville News editor Jeff Brown. “She will bring a different viewpoint, a younger viewpoint to the pages of The Shelbyville News everyday.”

Haley spent her early years growing up in French Lick, Indiana, before moving to Greenwood. She graduated from Greenwood High School in 2019.

She is double majoring in Journalism and Public Relations while earning a minor in Non-Profit Leadership.

Eugene S. Pulliam internships named for the longtime editor of the Indianapolis News and the Indianapolis Star and are offered through the HSPA Foundaton.
