Description
The Warrick County Standard, a weekly newspaper in southern Indiana, is seeking a full-time general news reporter to cover a variety of assignments including government meetings, crime, features and education.
We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated with a “can do” attitude and a passion for community journalism. The successful candidate will have solid writing and accurate reporting skills, knowledge of basic photography and the ability to meet deadlines.
Boonville is just 30 minutes from Evansville. The historic river town of Newburgh, where a number of festivals and events take place each year, is also close by and is a part of The Warrick County Standard’s coverage area.
This position includes writing for our lifestyle publication, Newburgh Magazine.
Reporting experience is a plus, but recent graduates with previous internships will be considered. An excellent driving record is a must.
