We are seeking a positive, organized, sales motivated Advertising Sales Director to lead our team in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Our goal is simple: to help our clients obtain their marketing goals by delivering creative advertising campaigns via our vast audiences in the newspaper and its companion website, growing niche magazines and comprehensive digital marketing services.

The ideal candidate will display:  A successful leadership track record of generating print and digital sales, local new business, and non-traditional revenue.  This position is responsible for a sales team that builds strong client relationships through exceptional campaign management. Exceptional interpersonal skills are a must.

Primary expectations and responsibilities include:

  • Motivate and “lead by example” the sales team to grow current customers while cultivating new clientele.
  • Manage an aggressive special digital and print promotions calendar, to include newspaper special sections and growing magazine publications
  • Service local and national accounts for print and digital ads.
  • Execute advertising contracts for digital, print, and preprint advertisers.
  • Set monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals for team and individuals
  • Track progress of revenue goals for team and individuals
  • Provide good customer service
  • Follow through to maintain long-term client relationships
  • Manage multiple priorities across a variety of platforms
  • Work with Publisher to ensure department is meeting company expectations
  • Coordinate projects in support of advertising revenue achievement
  • Complete administrative tasks/reports as required
  • Work with company-wide sales initiatives
  • Attend and participate in community and business functions.
