KPC Media Group announces a new division that will provide radio news services using the combined news gathering resources from its publications in northeast Indiana.

KPC News Service will begin providing a 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. radio newscast Monday through Friday on 95.5 The Hawk.

“We are pleased to offer this expanded service to the local radio audience,” said Terry Housholder, president and publisher of KPC Media Group. “Our goal at KPC is to ‘keep people connected,’ and this provides us one more way to reach out and connect with the community with news of local interest.”

Radio station 95.5 FM The Hawk has been operating in the community since 1956.

The station and KPC have partnered on a smaller scale for years, said John O’Rourke, general manager and on-air personality at The Hawk.

“It’s nice to partner with another media company who knows that the key word is local.”
