From Daily Reporter (Greenfield):

Q: One of our school districts has published its budget figures, but the district office secretary noticed one small error. She wonders whether this necessitates having to re-publish the information, which likely would result in postponement of the district’s budget hearing.

The error is tiny: In the section of the ad that lists the school district’s address, it omits the ZIP code and the state. Is that enough to warrant republishing the entire public notice ad?

A: I don’t believe that error would require republication. If you can correct it for the notice’s second run, do it.

The Department of Local Government Finance would be more concerned with budget figures that are incorrect.
