From the Palladium-Item (Richmond):

Q: We’ve been asked to include the copy of an individual’s signature on a public notice advertisement. Do we need to include text stating it is an electronic signature?

A: No. The notice in the newspaper is not a legal document so there isn’t a need for any testimonial language that the signature is valid.

A copy of the notice may be presented to a judge as proof that the notice was published in the newspaper, but the signature copy will not be an issue.
