The Evansville Courier & Press has made three recent additions to its reporting staff.
Jessie Higgins joins the paper from the Coos Bay (Ore.) World. A native of the Pacific Northwest, she is covering county government and social services.
Abbey Doyle most recently worked at the Herald Bulletin (Anderson), after previous stints at newspapers in Louisiana and Alabama. The Vincennes native is a senior writer in the features department, as well as a blogger on parenting issues.
Zach Evans, who interned in Evansville before going to work at the Princeton Clarion, has returned to take the night breaking-news beat.
