Highlights in the March edition of HSPA’s member publication:
• HSPA continues its push at the Statehouse to restore the publication requirement for budget hearing notices. S.B. 288 has moved from the Senate to the House, where it has been assigned to the House Local Government Committee.
• The Department of Education says data for the annual school performance reports will be posted on its website March 18. The publication deadline is March 31.
• Newspapers who saw postage increases in January can expect some relief in April, reports Max Heath, National Newspaper Association postal chairman.
