Newspapers have long been hosting community events as a way to reach readers, build their brand and increase revenue.
HSPA plans to compile an event guide with event ideas from around the state and beyond for member newspapers.
Your newspaper’s events will improve the publication. Submit details on your events at www.hspa.com/goodidea.
All newspapers who submit an idea will receive a printed booklet with details about organizing revenue-producing events.
So tell us about your paper’s events, anything from a large-scale expos to small-scale luncheons. Events should be from the past two years or in the works for 2015.
HSPA hopes the booklet will serve as an inspiration for decision-makers to launch their own special events in their marketplaces, said Pamela Lego, advertising director for MidwestAdvertising Placements, HSPA’s advertising arm.
