First published on April 14, 1904, as a pro-Democrat publication, it changed ownership numerous times early in its history, according to the newspaper.
In the early 2000s, Schurz Communications bought the paper, then called the Noblesville Daily Times.
When Schurz decided to cease publication in 2008, The Paper of Montgomery County Inc., now Sagamore News Media, purchased the assets.
Sagamore continues to print the Hamilton County newspaper.
