Paxton Media Group recently announced Tina West as publisher of the Peru Tribune.
West, a 36-year newspaper veteran, previously held the position of advertising director and of publisher for two Paxton Media properties in New Castle and Connersville.
“Tina has a proven track record of community support throughout her time as a publisher and ad director at various locations in Indiana,” said David Holgate, Indiana Michigan Group president for Paxton. “I am certain that shortly the Peru Tribune employees, community leaders and readers realize the many positives Tina possesses.”
West has served on the Hoosier State Press Association board of directors as well as several newspaper-related boards and committees.
She was recognized by the Indianapolis Colts as a community volunteer of the year for her service in New Castle and won a community quarterback award in 2011.
A native of Noblesville, West was raised in Anderson. She attended Ball State University and began her newspaper career at the Anderson Herald after college.
West is married and has four children and three grandchildren.
