Barry Rochford, editor of the Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly since 2006, has been named managing editor of The News Sun (Kendall­ville).

Lucretia “Lucy” Carde­nas​ will become the Business Weekly editor.

The an­nounce­ment came from Terry Hous­holder, president and chief executive officer of KPC Media Group, which publishes the Business Weekly and The News Sun, along with other regional publications.

Rochford, 41, a native of Kansas, is a graduate of Wichita State University. He worked for newspapers in Kansas and Oregon before becoming city editor of The Kokomo Tribune. From 2000-2006, he served as an editor for Horvitz Newspapers, based in Kent, Wash.

Cardenas, 31, who grew up in Noble County, is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Journalism. She also has a master’s of business administration degree from the University of Houston.

For nearly five years, Cardenas worked for daily newspapers in Texas before spending several years as an editor and team leader at McGraw Hill Financial Platts, a​n​ international provider of commodity information and analysis​​,​ ​before​ joining KPC Media Group as general manager of Keyflow Creative.
