The Goshen News announces the recent additions of Julie Crothers and Robby Howard to its newsroom staff.
Crothers, a 2011 graduate of Franklin College, will serve as the paper’s lead education writer. She joins The News after working at the Martinsville Reporter-Times and most recently the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette.
A native of Syracuse, Indiana, Crothers also served internships at The Republic (Columbus), The Indianapolis Star (statehouse bureau) and the Evansville Courier & Press.
Howard is the newest member of The News’ sports department and will cover prep and college sports with a focus on enterprise writing and digital content development.
He is a recent graduate of Indiana University, where he served on the staff of the Indiana Daily Student, including a stint as sports editor.
Howard was also a 2012 HSPA Foundation Pulliam intern for The Times of Northwest Indiana (Munster).
