Dale Moss has joined the staff of The Salem Leader and The Salem Democrat as managing editor.
Moss will oversee the news staff, coordinating coverage and coaching reporters.
He worked for more than three decades at the Louisville Courier-Journal.
“I am absolutely thrilled to welcome Dale to our newsroom,” said Senior Editor Stephanie Taylor Ferriell. “I grew up reading his stories in the Courier-Journal.”
Ferriell and her family recently moved to Crawford County, and the longtime editor wanted more time with her children and husband.
Moss will primarily work Wednesday through Friday. Ferriell will continue to work primarily Sunday through Wednesday and be in charge of editing, layout and design.
