A judge attributed pretrial publicity from a newspaper article as the reason for rescheduling a murder trial that was set to begin in Vanderburgh Superior Court.

James Lee Paul, 56, is charged with murder in the May 2009 death of Charles Burns Jr.

Senior Judge J. Douglas Knight said about one-third of the potential jurors indicated they had read a story in a recent edition of the Evansville Courier & Press about the trial.

The trial has been rescheduled for June 13.
