The Center for Public Integrity provides stories that are free to download and print in newspapers or put on websites.

The mission of the Center for Public Integrity is to produce original investigative journalism about significant public issues to make institutional power more transparent and accountable. Here are two stories added recently:

• Digital mammography may not be any better at detecting breast cancer than film-based systems, but Medicare is spending millions of taxpayer dollars reimbursing the procedure.
