Pharos-Tribune has new manager

Misty Knisely has been named managing editor of the Pharos-Tribune (Logansport).

Knisely spent her career in Indiana newspapers.

After graduating from Ball State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism, she joined the staff of the Hendricks County Flyer on the westside of Indianapolis.

Most recently, she served as news editor of the Kokomo Tribune.

Throughout her 13 years in the industry, she has served in several reporting, designing and editing roles.

Growing up in Redkey, a town just shy of 1,400 people in east central Indiana, Knisely developed a passion for community journalism.

“Every community has a story, and I love being a part of the telling of that story,” she said. “I’m excited to see the full depth of Logansport’s story and how it unfolds in the future.”
