HSPA has received several inquiries concerning publication of this year’s township annual reports because the format looks different.
According to Stan Mettler of the state Board of Accounts, the confusion might be because reports have have been distributed in an Excel spreadsheet format. But there is no difference as to what the townships are responsible for publishing as a public notice advertisement under I.C. 5-3-1.
The parts that need to published continue to be Parts 1, 2, 3B, 5 and 9.
The question also has been raised as to whether lines with a $0 amount have to be published. Mettler said those lines can be dropped and do not need to be published if the number in that category is $0.
