Hoosier State Press Association received a $839 grant to further its work in support of the First Amendment.

The award came from the Yandell C. Cline Endowment for First Amendment Freedom Fund administered by the Community Foundation of Boone County.

Stephen C. and Sandra B. Cline established the fund with HSPA in 1993 to fund First Amendment freedom activities and to support, encourage and defend the exercise of rights guaranteed under the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

The endowment has contributed $13,964 to HSPA and HSPA Foundation since its inception.

Stephen and Sandra Cline are former owners of the Zionsville Times-Sentinel, and Sandra Cline was the first female president of HSPA.
